Couples Boudoir NYC — Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need any experience with boudoir photography?
Not at all. Most of my couples clients have never done anything like this before, and that’s completely fine. I guide you through every pose, every transition, and every moment. My job is to make you both feel comfortable and most couples say the session felt more like a fun date than a photo shoot.
What should we wear?
I’ll send you a full wardrobe guide after you book. Common choices include lingerie sets, silk robes, his dress shirt on her, boxer briefs, or even just a sheet. The goal is to feel like yourselves just a little more dressed up and intentional. I’m happy to talk through options on a call beforehand.
Is this awkward? We’re a bit nervous.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous almost every couple says so at the start. By about 15 minutes in, most are laughing and genuinely enjoying themselves. The studio is private, the atmosphere is relaxed, and I keep things moving with direction and music. The nervousness usually disappears fast.
How long is the session?
Full photoshoot is about 2.5–3 hours, including wardrobe changes and makeup/hair styling.
What happens after the shoot?
After your session, your images are edited and we schedule our Zoom or in-person images reveal. We will review the images together and select your favorites for the product/collection you chose at the session.
Where is the studio located?
My studio is located in Brooklyn, New York, easily accessible from Manhattan and all boroughs. Street parking and nearby public transit options are available.
