It may still be snowing a little bit here in New York City, but springtime is definitely upon us. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to those first signs of the new season. I can’t wait to see leaves on the trees, flowers blooming and sunny days. To me, spring is such a beautiful time of renewal – not only in nature but in ourselves. It’s really the perfect time to work on boosting your confidence, to shed any insecurities you’ve had all winter and freshen your outlook on life.
Love Your Body
Feeling healthy and fit plays a huge role in how confident we feel. After all, who doesn’t like to look great in a bathing suit? If you know you can do better at taking care of yourself, now is the time to start doing it. This spring, make a pact with yourself to take some time out of your busy schedule to hit the trails or the park. Exercise can do wonders for feeling more balanced, especially when you get out into nature to do it. No matter what size body you have, exercise and nature are just good for the soul. Just remember to give yourself a small treat here and there as a reward for your workouts. This can be a piece of chocolate or even a mani pedi. Deprivation isn’t good for anyone, and you do need to indulge every once in a while!
Embrace Who You Are
Every one of us has flaws – even the celebrities you see in magazines. The best way to boost your confidence is to embrace these flaws. I know this can be really hard to do. But I recently read an interview with Angelina Jolie, and I was struck by the wise words she had to say about flaws and growing older:
“I also see myself aging, and I love it because it means I’m alive—I’m living and getting older. Don’t love having a random dark spot from a pregnancy, sure. I see my flaws. But what I see that I like isn’t about a structure or an appearance. It’s more that I see my family in my face. I see my age.”
I couldn’t agree more. The next time you feel down about a wrinkle or something you don’t like about your body, remind yourself that it’s ok. You’re alive, and you’re perfectly you.
Be A Little Bold
There’s nothing wrong with being a little bold! If you’re considering the ultimate confidence booster – a boudoir photography session – then let’s talk today! If you’re not feeling confident before the shoot, I assure you that your feelings will change once we start. There’s really nothing more empowering than feeling sexy and owning it! Just ask any of the women in my private Facebook group. Past clients will tell you how incredible they felt during and after their boudoir sessions.

Until next week.
