Ok, ladies, let’s get one thing straight. Age doesn’t matter when it comes to beauty. Not. One. Bit! And despite what you may think, there’s no such thing as the perfect age for boudoir photography. In my opinion, any woman 21 or older should consider doing a boudoir shoot. This experience will make you feel incredible, no matter what your age is.
It’s time to put the misconception that you have to be young to do a boudoir shoot to rest once and for all. Boudoir is about one thing only: You. One of the best things you can do for yourself – no matter what age you are – is to stop comparing yourself to celebrities that you see online and in magazines. They might look ageless in touched up photos, but believe me, they age just like you. And every time you curse your grey hair, think about all of the young girls who are dying their hair grey on purpose. It’s in, ladies! So be proud of who you are, and embrace growing older. I often think of the saying, “Getting old is a privilege, an art, a gift. Accumulating gray hairs, pulling the pages off of the calendar, and celebrating birthdays should always be a reason for happiness. Happiness for life and everything it means to be here.”

As women, we can be way too hard on ourselves… especially as we age. Sure, we might not look or feel like we did at 21, but guess what? Older women have had time to know their bodies. They already know how to look great and how to feel sexy. A boudoir session is just a way to bring that confidence back out into the spotlight!
