You can’t remember the last time you took a true break. Maybe it’s the craziness of motherhood or the non-stop deadlines at the office. Perhaps it’s both! But you really can’t stop daydreaming about “you time”. You need a vacation, and even your Instagram followers will agree. They’ve been liking the photos you keep posting of white sand beaches and palm trees. There’s just one problem: Responsibilities are keeping you from getting away just yet. So how are you supposed to get the “you time” you so desperately need? Here’s some tips…
Get good sleep.
While this can be hard to do with thoughts of the day running through your mind, you have to learn to let go. Practice releasing the tension and anxiety that’s weighing you down. Tell yourself that there’s nothing you can do about any of it until tomorrow, and give yourself the chance to relax. When you get a good night’s rest, you’ll be able to tackle the day ahead with more focus.
If you’re stuck in the office all day, make just 10 to 30 minutes a day to walk or slip in a quick workout. Sitting at a desk too long isn’t just hazardous to your physical health, but it can cause some serious mental burnout too. Exercise will help you release any stress you have. It’s incredible how much more productive and creative you can start to feel if you actually take a break. So don’t be afraid to get outdoors or work up a sweat in between deadlines!
A little pampering goes a long way!
Whether it’s a massage, a manicure, or a facial, spending some time on your appearance and health can boost your self esteem and your feelings of well-being. Plus, these things are just so much fun to do!
If you don’t have time for a long vacation, take an afternoon off to boudoir!
Doing a boudoir photoshoot is the perfect solution to burnout from everyday life. I like to think of each session I shoot as a mini vacay for the lovely ladies that I have the opportunity to work with. True, it’s only for a few hours, but we certainly make each one count! You’ll feel like your best self ever when you spend time forgetting the outside world and remembering what makes you so unique. Just ask one of my recent clients, an amazing and beautiful woman who decided to use a boudoir session to celebrate her 1-year wedding anniversary. Here’s what she had to say about her photoshoot:
My 1 year wedding anniversary was approaching and I thought, what better way to wow my husband than by doing a boudoir shoot! I chose Evgenia and I’m so glad I did! She’s awesome to work with. I felt completely at-ease and incredibly sexy. Not to mention, the pictures came out AMAZING!!!!! It was a pleasure working with you!
