It’s been a bit of a challenging year for women across the globe. But guess what? I sense that 2019 is going to be incredible for us. Because girls are strong. We are smart. And we are all beautiful inside and out. What better time than this Thanksgiving week to reflect on the reasons to be thankful for being a woman. If you’ve ever doubted yourself or your worth as a woman, you MUST read through these!
We’re bad asses… but gentle at the same time.
It’s no secret that women are naturally built for toughness! Just think about how difficult it is to carry a child in your womb for 9 months and then bring a little human into this world. If that isn’t a sign of strength, I don’t know what is! Women without children are no different. We work hard and care for ourselves and our loved ones with a passion that runs deep. It’s just in our nature to do so… and that makes us total bad asses!
We make life beautiful.
What’s the difference between a bachelor pad and a couple’s home? A woman! We can’t help it… We simply love to make things lovely. From decorating and making rooms comfy to cooking meals that the entire family can enjoy, the presence of a woman makes a home… well, a home!
We care. A LOT.
Our natural tendency to care and nurture is one reason we would do just about anything for the people we love. We make sacrifices, and often do so with a smile.
We inspire others.
There’s just something about a woman that people draw inspiration from. Many of us have overcome stereotypes and have proven our skills and abilities in an often male-dominated society. We have the women who came before us to thank for paving the way. Now it’s our turn to inspire future generations… and we’re doing an amazing job so far.
This year, I would like to say a special “Thank You” to all of the women that I’ve had the incredible opportunity to photograph in my studio, work with, and speak to in my Facebook group. Each one of you has become a #GIRLHERO to me, inspiring me to dream bigger, to do more and to work even harder. You are all amazing.
Without us, let’s face it… Humans wouldn’t exist.
If this doesn’t make you feel powerful, I don’t know what will!
Why are you thankful to be woman? Share your thoughts in the comments or get in touch with me! I would love to hear from you.
