How many of you have had one of those days lately? You know, when you wake to find the kids fighting, your husband searching frantically for his favorite shirt (you forgot to wash it), and your mom calling to remind you that she needs help around her house. Even the dogs won’t stop crying at you for their treats. And this is all before you leave for work. As you take a deep breath and prepare to face the world, you silently promise that you’ll take care of yourself tomorrow.
How many of you have broken that promise? How many of you have broken it over and over again?
No matter what you were raised to believe or what your life is like now, one thing is certain: Self care is not selfish. As women, we tend to feel like we have to do it all. We often feel the weight of responsibilities heavy on our souls. But if you don’t take time out to give yourself a little TLC, not only will your emotional and physical health suffer, but your burnout will affect how well you can take care of others when they really need you.

Self care improves your confidence and your self esteem.
In order to make self care work, you have to tell yourself that it’s not selfish to practice — and you need to truly believe that. No matter how much you have going on, there is enough time in the day to care about yourself. You just need to prioritize yourself and make the time.
As a luxury boudoir photographer, I meet so many women who say that their photoshoot was like a therapy session for the soul. Posing in sexy lingerie is actually an amazing way to heal your tired mind and body, and feel more powerful and more beautiful than you ever have before.

Boudoir takes self care to a new level!
There’s so many things you can do to take care of yourself, and boudoir is wonderful because it combines many of them. For example, when is the last time you had your hair done in a glamorous style? When is the last time you had a makeup artist perfect your smokey eye look and make your lips look their fullest? When is the last time you had fun shopping for sensual lingerie and looked forward to modeling it? When is the last time you felt like the most important person in the room? If you can’t remember the answer to one or more of these questions, then contact me. I’ll show you that self care is the solution to a happier, healthier you.
xoxo,
